The Air Mail Service has been under investigation due to three fatal crashes involving the new Junkers F 13s. While it is obvious the cause of all three accidents were the planes themselves, the blame is being placed on the administration. Otto Praeger is singled out. They say we lack a proper maintenance plan.

Congress, under a new Administration which is not in favor of the Air Mail, is finding ways to cut our appropriation of funds. Another vulnerable area for us is the Cleveland to New York leg which currently is only completing 55 percent of its flights due to bad weather.

There has been a drop in the use of Air Mail and regardless of how far we have come, it seems that Congress wants to pull the plug. However, word is that Otto Praeger has something up his sleeve to put Air Mail back in a positive light.
