A few of the awards this site has received....

Historic Wings and Capstone Studio are highly honored to have received a number of the finest awards for site design online today. Our hat is off, however, to John Glenn himself -- when you have such an inspiring life story to drive the design, lots of really great things happen....

EXCERPT FROM IPPA REVIEW
The site is an historical work, highlighting the US astronaut, John Glenn. It is also an extraordinary voyage into the history of NASA and the space program. Graphically, the John Glenn site is simply smashing. While the Net is replete with space 2000 graphics and sites dedicated to one space program or another, this site is a far cry from being another Trek-like ode to the UFOs. In fact, the Glenn site promises real history and it delivers. Simple layout, excellent image management, and great conception make this a one-of-a-kind site.

JOHN GLENN: THREE ORBITS TO HISTORY
In October 1998 John Glenn will make aerospace history: 36 years after his initial space flight, the NASA astronaut will return once again to the cosmos to study the effects of space travel on aging. Talk about a life less ordinary. If you're curious about Glenn or the history of the space program in general, this fantastic new site (designed by Capstone Studio) will enthrall, educate, and astound you. Read about the origins of the space race, meet the Mercury 7 astronauts, listen to the actual tracking signal from the original Sputnik, and discover a universe of other space curios. -EH

The SpaceView Review
"John Glenn: Three Orbits to History" is a beautifully-designed Web site which recounts the early days of the Space Race, from the launch of Sputnik through Glenn's historic flight. The site incorporates a wide range of multimedia elements to enhance the educational and entertainment experience. As Glenn prepares for his second spaceflight on the shuttle this far (for far more than three orbits!) it's worthwhile to peruse this site to get some background on the era and on Glenn himself.
